Quality Golf Instruction for All Ages and Skill levels
Mission Statement
Christian Golf Leadership provides quality golf instruction for young people in the East Valley - (Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, etc.) and the Phoenix Metro area of Arizona.
Classes feature a low student-to-instructor ratio, enabling golfers to build confidence in putting, chipping, and full swing, as well as learn the rules and etiquette of golf in a safe setting.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is not only fun, but also leans towards learning leadership skills and being mindful of others. Our staff holds to Christian values and a portion of each transaction goes to helping those in need.
Golf Instruction For Children
WHO: Christian Golf Leadership (CGL) offers quality golf instruction for boys and girls of all skill levels - ages 7 to 15.
WHAT: When signing-up your child for CGL Events, he/she will receive a Welcome Packet which includes a CGL T-Shirt & Hat, along with a WGB practice kit.
April, May, June, and July events will be structured around the annual Drive, Chip & Putt competition held in Augusta, GA for Junior Golfers ages 7-15 and is open to qualifying. Please see links below for more information:

Each event will provide a series of stations designed to provide players with the skills, mindset, and focus to help them get the most out of golf. Also, our focus is to help each child build confidence in the three areas that we believe are most important: a relationship with God, relationships with each other, and a relationship with their community.
Our golf instruction is based on two philosophies:
- David Leadbetter Golf Instruction
- Lanny Basham’s book “With Winning in Mind”
- Subconscious Mind: Build skill set through drills and repetition.
- Conscious Mind: Build solid routine that helps to focus on one task and stay in the present.
- Self-Image: Positive affirmations that are based on God’s promises, and dedication to carrying out a practice plan and repetition of daily fundamentals which support a confident thought.
*There is a maximum of 16 children per event.
*SATURDAY CGL CAMP PROGRAM*
FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLERS & HOME SCHOOLERS: 2024 events will be held one Saturday each month from 7:30am-9:30am (excluding August).

*THURSDAY CGL CAMP PROGRAM*
FOR HOME SCHOOLERS ONLY: 2024 events will be held one Thursday each month from 8am-10am (excluding August).

*After each Thursday event, Campers and Staff Members will have an opportunity to walk to "Feed My Starving Children" and help feed those less fortunate. (This is fully optional but would offer campers a great volunteer opportunity and valuable life lessons.)

- All 7 Events - $439 (Includes Membership Packet & two 30-minute private lessons)
- 4 Events - $249 (Includes Membership Packet)
- 2 Events - $149 (Includes Membership Packet)

WHY: Young players of all skill levels will have the opportunity to learn from Junior Golf Academy Instructor, Will Neel. Will has over 30 years of full time teaching experience.

A: Once you add the session to your cart, click the continue button on the right side of the screen. (If you don't see it, move your screen a bit.)
Q: I'm not signed up for Active?
A: If you are not signed up with Active Network, you will be able to at the end of the registration process. (It costs nothing to sign up. Please save the password you enter for future reference.)
Q: Cancellation Policy?

Our Staff
Will Neel is our Director and Instructor.
(Player, Instructor, Coach, Inventor, Entrepreneur, Golf Manufacturer & Grandfather)
Will has over 30 years of full-time teaching experience working with elite junior players and their families, helping them to develop their talent and navigate the testy waters of collegiate and professional golf.
His experience includes serving as an Associate Instructor with the first ever David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Lake Nona Golf Club from 1990 to 1996, and became the Director of Junior Golf Instruction, and was instrumental in forming the first ever David Leadbetter Junior Golf Academy in Bradenton, FL, now known as the IMG Sports Academy.
In 1996, he cofounded the Will Neel Golf Academy in Plantation, FL, and Los Angeles, CA - along with lifetime PGA Members Joe Vogel, PGA Master Professional Joel Suggs, Edwin Gregory, and Phil Lamb. Together they formed “Hope for Kids Golf” that served over 800 at risk children in Ft Lauderdale, FL and Pomona, CA.
Will is the founder and current owner of WILLGOLFBETTER and recently moved to Tempe, AZ where he can be close to his granddaughter.

Christian Golf Leadership sessions take place at the Stripe Show Golf Club in Mesa, AZ - just North of the US 60 and East of Alma School Road next to the Doubletree by Hilton Phx/Mesa Hotel.
This setting is majestic! You’ll enjoy a beautiful lake, large trees, and abundant wildlife. This walking-only course (pull carts available to rent) is an ideal venue for juniors, beginners, and those who want to work on their game by playing a quick 9 holes or enjoying the spacious driving range.
